
- The winners of AFC Challenge Cup competitions 2008 and 2010
will qualify to the AFC Asian Cup 2011 finals in Doha, Qatar.
- Final Tournament to be hosted by India from 30 July - 10
August 2008
- Mongolia and East Timor didn't enter.
- Group D was originally scheduled to take place in Nepal,
but due to the current political unrest, Nepal withdrew
as host Nation.
- Group D will now be hosted by Cambodia.
- Each group winner of the Qualifying round will qualify for
the Finals where North Korea, Turkmenistan, host India and
Myanmar are already automatically qualified.
- Laos withdrew at the last moment from the qualifying. Group
C will be played now with 3 teams.
- Palestine withdrew from the AFC Challenge Cup
2008 due to the political situation in that land. Therefore the
remaining 3 teams in Group D will play for a spot in India.
- AFGHANISTAN were at the end not disqualified from the Challenge
Cup 2008, therefore the schedule has been corrected. Kyrgyzstan,
the replacement team will not take part.
