- The first edition of this tournament for so-called 'emerging' countries will be in Bangladesh. Nepal got dumped after citing political unrest in the country.
- Tournament to be played from 1st April to 16th April 2006.
- Sad but so far true, India is taking part with a mix of U-20 and 2nd League players.
